RadGs provides Traditional Web 2.0 Applications based on the HTTP protocol. Traditional Web Applications can be considered, as the web applications that will run with your Internet browser, without any need of an installation of the Concept Client. The Concept Client ensures a bi-directional link; the HTTP-based web application is unidirectional (request based).

Simple and efficient, RadGs traditional web applications are functionality-oriented, created to evolve and user friendly.

Web applications cover the following standards: XHTML/HTML, AJAX, JSON, XML database access via ODBC (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Firebird and more), native SQL via SQLite, template library both in Smarty-style and XSLT (preferred). Also, they can easily integrate Google Maps, Yahoo! Maps and SOAP Architecture. By using the curl library, it is easy to get data to a Concept web application from other websites, regardless of the technology behind it. It is possible to code a basic search robot in a few hours.

Concept can run with the majority of web servers, including Apache (recommended) and IIS.

These solutions are Concept Application Server based and have some advantages over competing technologies.

Why Concept over traditional solutions?

  • Strict object-oriented, so the debugging should be easier
  • Cross platform
  • Can optimize and protect code
  • Faster with less resources needed
  • Code and interface (template) completely separated (with an included template language containing control structures like if/foreach and some modifiers)
